Who we are:
You have a good amount of experience administering GitLab and know how to stay calm and focused -- even when working in complex system environments? Then join our team in Falkenstein/Vogtland or Nuremberg as a System Administrator (m/f/d) and take charge of operating and improving our self-hosted GitLab infrastructure.
Your responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and manage our self-hosted GitLab instances
- Ensure the high availability, performance, and security of the GitLab environment
- Maintain and update GitLab, including GitLab Runner
- Manage users, groups, and access permissions
- Handle regular backups, updates, and security patches
- Troubleshoot issues within GitLab and CI/CD pipelines
- Create and maintain clear technical documentation
What impresses us:
- A completed degree or vocational training in IT (e.g. IT specialist for system integration)
- Professional experience as a system administrator or in a similar role
- Good knowledge of GitLab administration, including GitLab Runner and Docker
- Confident at working with Linux servers and the command line
- Hands-on experience with container technologies -- especially Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with at least one scripting language (e.g. Bash, Ruby)
- Strong problem-solving skills and a structured, independent work style
- Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset
