Technical Assistant (TA) to the CEO (m/f/d) - Paints & Coatings Industry

As Technical Assistant (TA) to the CEO, you will play a key role in supporting strategic and operational initiatives within the technology-driven paints and coatings industry. Working at the interface between top management, research and development, production, and sales, you will contribute to translating technical insights and market requirements into sound business decisions. This position offers comprehensive insights into innovation, product development, and market dynamics within the global coatings industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the CEO in strategic, technical, and operational projects across the organization
  • Analysis of technical issues relating to paints, coatings, raw materials, formulations, production processes and market requirements, as well as derivation of concrete recommendations for action
  • Prepare high-quality presentations, reports, and executive briefings
  • Coordinate cross-functional projects involving R&D, production, quality, supply chain and sales
  • Monitor and track strategic initiatives, ensuring timely execution and follow-up
  • Conduct market, competitor, and technology analyses (e.g., sustainability trends, regulatory developments, new coating technologies)
  • Support innovation projects, including new product development and process optimization
  • Participate in management meetings and ensure alignment and execution of decisions
  • Assist in evaluating investments, partnerships, and new business opportunities

Your Profile

  • University Degree (Master's or PhD) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Coatings Technology, or a related field (Business/Engineering hybrid also welcome)
  • Strong technical understanding of paints, coatings, or chemical products is highly desirable
  • First professional experience in the coatings, chemical, or manufacturing industry, consulting, or a technical business role is a plus
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills
  • Ability to bridge technical and business perspectives
  • High level of initiative, reliability, and discretion when working with top management
  • Very good German and English skills (C-Level), enabling smooth communication with international partners
  • Good proficiency in French (B2/C1-Level) is considered a strong asset
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel); experience with data analysis tools is a plus
  • Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis 
  • Openness to different cultures and ability to work effectively in an international environment.
