We are looking for a new team member for our International Cooperation department in Hamburg, starting as soon as possible 

Projectassistence (d/f/m)

- limited to two years / full-time (39 hours per week) - 

Your tasks:

  • Assisting with preparation and review of project budgets, donor financial reports, and funding requirements 
  • Ensuring compliance with donor guidelines (like GFFO, BMZ, EU, UN organisations, private donors) 
  • Entering, reviewing, and regularly updating all project information in the organization's proprietary management system 
  • Supporting communication and coordination with country offices on portfolio-related issues at the direction of the Controlling & Compliance Specialist with financial and donor regulation questions 
  • Supporting contract management, as well as obtaining signatures and board approvals 
  • Contributing to strategic priorities set by the division 
  • Providing conceptual and organizational support in the preparation and implementation of workshops, both internally and with colleagues from country offices and partner organizations  
  • Supporting project-related budget planning and tracking of income and expenses, as well as financial administrative processes, including intercompany processes 
  • Research and translation tasks 

Your profile:

  • Completed training or comparable qualification (Bachelor) with a focus on finance, controlling, or vocational training in a relevant subject 
  • Experience in project accounting or use of project funds from public donors is an advantage 
  • Knowledge of IT-based project management systems (SAP, MS Dynamics 365, Grant Modules, etc...) 
  • Affinity for numbers and very good knowledge of MS Office (especially MS Excel) 
  • Very good English, other languages are an asset (Spanish, French, German, etc...) 
  • High degree of intercultural competence and good communication skills 
  • Structured and independent working style 
  • Team player, flexible, solution-oriented, and strong communicator
