Backend Platform Engineer (Rust) - Digital Health

We're building a new MVP to extend our rehabilitation aftercare platform, and you'll be part of the backend crew. As such, you will work closely with other backend, web, mobile, QA and Dev(Sec)Ops engineers, as well as Product Managers, UX designers, Rollout team and clinical trial management.

The main focus is the go-to-market of the MVP to extend our existing product lines within the guardrails of ISO 27001, ISO 27701, GDPR and C5 (including post-quantum strategies). A big part of the work will also include the uplifting of a handful of (well-maintained) legacy services into Rust, together with the rest of the team.

We're looking for 

• Production-grade service development in Rust and/or Go.
• Strong non-functional requirements translation (latency, availability, correctness).
• Database and caching performance optimization.

Required 

• 3+ years in backend engineering.
• 3+ years in Rust development, preferably backend-focused.
• Strong API design and production debugging capability.
• Experience in maintaining services through incidents and continuous improvement loops.

Nice to Have 

• Experience with Queue/event-driven systems and stream processing. 
• Experience in collaboration with DevOps and infrastructure teams. 
• Experience in dealing with time-series data.

While speaking German at B level is useful, our team operates in English.
