Vice President Sales (m/f/d)

Location Wiesbaden

The future outlook for the global IVD market is positive. With growth rates between 2% and 5% in clinical chemistry, hematology, hemostasis, and autoimmune diagnostics, our laboratory diagnostics products are well positioned at the center of this development. Our global presence, particularly in developing and emerging markets, further supports our excellent market positioning.

On this basis - supported by a robust IVD portfolio, short time-to-serve, strong technical support, and comprehensive global regulatory expertise - we have strategically realigned the business, sharpening our focus on our core segments and optimizing the product mix toward higher-margin proprietary products.

This strategy now needs to be executed by a strong sales leader. We are therefore seeking a strategically minded "hunter" who is equally execution-focused and consistent, and who, together with their team, will continue to gain market share in a margin-driven manner with our product portfolio.

We are an owner-managed, financially sound company with products made in Germany. With our long-term orientation, we have established our own structures in selected markets and maintain a well-established network of international distributors. You will report directly to the Managing Director, lead approximately 40 employees (including 5 direct reports) across multiple regions, and be responsible for revenues of around EUR 50 million.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leadership and organization of the global sales and distribution network
  • Development and implementation of product- and/or region-specific sales strategies
  • Full responsibility for budget, revenue, and margin targets, including forecasting, pricing, and commercial terms
  • Active steering of the product mix with a focus on higher-margin proprietary products in prioritized segments
  • Selection, management, and further development of the global distributor network
  • Ongoing development of structured performance management (KPIs, reviews, target setting)
  • Close collaboration with executive management, shareholders, and internal stakeholders, as well as representation of the company to strategically important customers and distributors and at selected events
  • Planning, monitoring, and analysis of revenues, cost structures, and profitability, including the development, alignment, and implementation of appropriate measures to achieve targets

YOUR SKILLS:

  • University degree in Business Administration and/or Natural Sciences (e.g. Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Medical Technology)
  • Extensive professional experience in international sales (>10 years) within In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD), with a strong focus on developing and emerging markets as well as regions outside Europe, including the USA and Japan
  • Proven leadership and management experience working with independent distributors, combined with strong intercultural competence
  • Ideally, experience with portfolios in Clinical Chemistry and/or Autoimmune Diagnostics
  • Solid experience and understanding of modern business processes in marketing and sales, as well as on a financial level
  • High level of financial and negotiation acumen, with a strong command of pricing, commercial terms, margins, and cost structures
  • Strong leadership skills with a clear performance- and coaching-oriented mindset
  • Strategic thinker with strong execution capabilities
  • In-depth understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g. IVDR, ISO 13485)
  • Excellent methodological competence (project management, time management, decisiveness, etc.)
  • Very good German and English skills (C1); additional languages such as French or Spanish are an advantage
  • High willingness to travel outside Europe (approx. 50%)

WHAT WE OFFER:

  • Employer contribution to the company pension scheme
  • Private supplementary health insurance
  • HUMAN lifetime working time model
  • JobRad (company bicycle leasing program)
  • Flexible working hours
  • Home-office options
  • On-site cafeteria and free beverages
  • Collegial team culture with short decision-making paths and a personal, collaborative atmosphere
  • Modern offices with ergonomic workstations and much more
  • Ongoing training and professional development opportunities
