Underwriter Financial Lines (m/f/d)
Let's talk about the role:
As an Underwriter Financial Lines, you focus on profitable D&O underwriting, support business planning, and help strengthen relationships with brokers and clients. You contribute to internal collaboration, ensure proper risk documentation, and take on occasional project and development tasks.
On a day-to-day basis, you will:
- Profit-oriented underwriting within the framework of the line-of-business guidelines and authorizations, in particular:
- Underwriting in Financial Lines with strong focus on D&O, in line with the strategy plan and regulatory requirements
- Support the development and delivery of the annual business plan
- Contribute to meetings to share knowledge and best practices
- Promote the department, division, and company to maximize brand leverage
- Establish and strengthen relationships with stakeholders
- Ensure accurate recording of insurance risks and compliance with regulations

Participation in intra-divisional and cross-divisional acquisition planning

Support and expansion of existing customer relationships, brokers, and company-affiliated intermediaries

Special tasks, e.g., project tasks, business plans, or product development (wordings)
Who are we looking for?
- Completed university degree and 2-5 years of professional experience in underwriting, ideally in the area of Financial Lines
- Solid project management expertise at an advanced level, including structured planning and efficient implementation
- Strong willingness to learn at an expert level, combined with high motivation to engage with complex subject matters
- Strong customer orientation and the ability to build sustainable, trust-based business relationships
- Excellent team skills and enthusiasm for working in interdisciplinary teams Awareness of sustainability and the ability to integrate relevant aspects into decisions and processes
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Confident presence in negotiations and a strong sense for economic interrelations
- Entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to identify opportunities and assess risks soundly
- High level of innovation and willingness to actively contribute new ideas and solutions
- Language skills: Italian at C2 level, English at B2 level
