What makes your day with us special:

In this role, you will contribute to Cheplapharm Global Supply Chain Management Team.

As a Supply & Operational Planner, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the end-to-end operations and order fulfilment process of the CDMOs. Your primary focus will be on ensuring accurate and timely processing of customer orders, managing inventory levels, and collaborating with various departments to meet customer expectations. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, planning management skills, and cross-leadership abilities to deliver high-quality pharmaceutical products within specified timelines and budget constraints.

In this role, your tasks will include:

  • You independently take responsibility for the analysis, monitoring, and implementation of sales and distribution planning for a specifically defined product area using the inventory and planning tools.
  • Supply Chain Single Point of Contact for CDMOs.
  • You are responsible for supply planning, including the planning, review, control, and continuous tracking of inventory and demand, based on the order proposals in the inventory and planning tools.
  • You calculate and implement the economic order quantity, taking into account factors such as expiration dates, the risk of product disposal, and the prevention of stock-outs and overstocking.
  • You ensure an always accurate and well-maintained master data landscape, including the management of minimum order quantities (MOQ), lead times, safety stocks, expiration dates, and ABC classification.
  • You are responsible for building, maintaining, and continuously optimizing a comprehensive supply chain management reporting system. This includes monitoring inventory levels, coverage, stock-out results and risks, as well as OTIF (On-Time-In-Full) performance.
  • Supporting the end-to-end Supply Chain Organization with regards to design, development, and management.
  • Business Operations activities such as Business Process Mapping, Process Visualization, Metrics & KPI reporting and data analysis.

In this role, you report to the Therapeutical Area Lead within the global Supply Chain Organization.

What sets you apart:

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in a relevant scientific field, business administration, Industrial Engineer, Life science or alike.
  • You have at least 5-10 years of experience dealing with Supply Chain, Procurement and/or CDMOs within a pharmaceutical environment
  • Proven experience in project management within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, with a focus on contract development and manufacturing.
  • Several years of experience in collaborating with CDMOs and in supervising outsourced activities
  • You have strong self-management skills and an entrepreneur mindset.
  • You are a team player with the ability to manage external and internal stakeholders.
  • You are result-oriented, customer focused with strong interpersonal skills and a high You are a talented communicator and listener, eager to learn, you can work autonomously within an environment where flexibility is necessary. 
  • Ability to navigate complex technical challenges and make informed decisions.
  • You have a very good command of IT tools: i.e. MS Office (solid Excel know-how is key) & SAP, IBP (Integrated Business Planning).
  • English is a must, and German is a plus.
