Who are we?
The field of competence "Model-Based System Engineering" (MBSE) is researching methods and tools to tackle the enormous complexity in engineering safety critical software-intensive systems such as cars and planes. Our approaches base on the abstraction provided by models and the automation of design and validation activities. We evaluate our research results by means of open-source tool prototypes and the fortiss Mobility Lab [1] that provides an autonomous driving use case based on miniature cars. We closely cooperate with our regional and international industrial partner companies to ensure the applicability of our solutions in their systems-engineering practice.
To strengthen our MBSE team, we are looking for new team members to support our application-driven research, the implementation of our open-source software and the further development of our Mobility Lab demonstrator.
