Your Strength
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Medical or Biomedical), with MS or MBA preferred
- 8+ years of experience in medical device manufacturing, design or development (including tissue, capital equipment, disposables, or implants)
- At least 5 years of leadership experience directly managing engineering teams
- In-depth knowledge of FDA, ISO, GMP, and design control regulations
- Proficiency in project and resource management, risk management, statistical analysis, and technical documentation
- Hands-on leadership style with strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Experience with ERP systems (Navision) and CAD tools (SolidWorks)
- Fluent in German and full professional proficiency in English
Your Contribution
- Lead and develop engineering project timelines, budgets, and cross-functional teams
- Manage design changes to existing medical products, ensuring regulatory compliance and cost-effectiveness
- Provide technical guidance, oversee testing (verification/validation), and maintain high documentation standards
- Act as technical lead on investigations (NCs, CAPAs, complaints) and collaborate with Quality, Regulatory, and Operations
- Drive a culture of ownership, mentoring, and continuous improvement within the Sustaining Engineering team
- Support international product approvals, supplier change assessments, and process improvements
- Communicate project status and priorities effectively to internal and external stakeholders
