The Data Science team is working on the digital transformation of processes, data products and on customer-specific solutions in the areas of Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence and Reporting/Visualisation, and on building a Data Lake and Analytics Platform.

We are looking for a (Senior) Data Scientist (f/m/d) to join our Data Science department at one of our locations in Munich or Hamburg as soon as possible.

Your role and tasks

As a (Senior) Data Scientist with us, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our data warehouse and analytics platform. You will be responsible for applying, developing and implementing cutting-edge data science and analytics solutions that drive business growth and innovation to generate new insights for clients in all industries.

As a (Senior) Data Scientist with us, you will have the opportunity to explore exciting and diverse data, work with cutting-edge algorithms and technologies and participate in the development of solutions that generate new insights for clients in all industries.

  • You play an important role in the development and maintenance of our data warehouse and analytics platform using Python and state of the art Google Cloud based data engineering architecture.
  • You implement and optimize existing data processing pipelines for large multi-country client projects, focusing on standardization and automation.
  • You design and implement software solutions for analyzing structured and unstructured data from surveys, customer data warehouses (first party data), and other sources.
  • Together with your team, you will advise internal and external stakeholders on efficient data process and decision-making processes and translate available data into decision-relevant insights using analytical methods such as regression, cluster and factor analysis, conjoint/choice modelling, random forest, neural networks or Bayesian modelling, and others.
  • You work with a modern stack of data engineering and analytics tools - e.g. Python, Docker, Google Cloud, Tableau, Sawtooth - and collaborate with the team to develop pragmatic automation solutions for complex analytics processes.

Your profile

  • You have 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Science and/or Data Analytics, as well as in multivariate data analysis and visualisation, and are curious about learning new technologies.
  • You have strong knowledge of Python and practical experience with relevant libraries (like pandas, numpy, sklearn etc,) and are familiar with ETL / ELT processes, common data exchange protocols, interfaces, and data formats. If you are experienced in database systems / SQL and GCP (or similar) and have worked in agile teams - even better!
  • Very good quantitative degree (M.Sc.), e.g. in STEM, Social Science, Quantitative Marketing, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related fields.
  • You are a team player, have the mindset of an inhouse consultant and love to drive topics that you own instead of being told what exactly to do. You are structured in your work style and you would consider yourself to be meticulous.
  • You are fluent in English (spoken and written) - German is a plus!
