We are currently looking for a dynamic and experienced Business Partner with passion for sales and technology who drives responsibility to support our Business Unit APAC/ME and its development and growth focusing on the Chinese and Japanese market. 
 
In China and Japan we have two own subsidiaries since 2005 and 2024. The Business Partner will be an important interface and therefore be located at our German Headquarters in Neumarkt.  

The role:

  • Draft, shape and push the development of the area of responsibility within the Business Unit APAC/ME under the guiding principle of our group strategy GROW(ING) TOGETHER, along with defined Key Directives and in line with our Corporate Values. 
  • Provide major strategic support to the Business Unit Director, Managing Directors in the corresponding sales region and further stakeholders.  
  • Consulting and close cooperation with Managers with regards to business development and the implementation of our functional strategies, but also managing day-to-day business. 
  • Independently manage projects (e.g. M&A, establishment of new companies), and collaborate on projects depending on the topic. 
  • Strongly contribute to global targets and initiatives such as digitalization and internationalization by fostering a value based culture of excellence, innovation and collaboration. 
  • Work closely with colleagues from the APAC/ME subsidiaries and HQ. 
  • Visit subsidiaries, including customer visits and independently handle local matters in consultation with local management. 
  • Represent the Business Unit at events in the HQ, with customers and subsidiaries. 

Your ideal profile

  • Experience within the electro-technical sector, with a strong focus on sales/marketing/business development. 
  • Bachelor or higher degree in electrical engineering combined with a strong commercial skill set. 
  • Being familiar with the Asian electrical component's distribution models. 
  • Anticipation and deep understanding of trends and developments regarding market shifts and changes of industry structures as well as strategies. 
  • Structured, coordinated, and committed working style with strong result orientation, analytical and conceptual skills. 
  • Very strong affinity for Asia and a willingness to travel frequently. 
  • Emphasis on opportunities for development and design. 
  • Well-balanced, team oriented, appreciative and experienced with an hands-on-mentality characterized by courage and enthusiasm, openness and resilience. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, especially in integrating various (international) stakeholders. 
  • Strong competence in strategic topics and proven negotiation skills. 
  • Networking on all levels at HQ Neumarkt and in the subsidiaries. 
  • Agile mindset and extensive intercultural competence. 
  • Excellent English skills, both written and spoken.
