We are looking for a new team member for our International Cooperation department in Hamburg, starting as soon as possible, as a

Project Officer (d/f/m)

- limited contract for two years / full-time (39 hours per week) - 

Your tasks:

  • Supporting all processes on publicly funded projects in the field of development cooperation and humanitarian aid with a focus on West and Central Africa
  • Preparation of project descriptions, interim and final project reports, and other project service documents for the in-house fundraising departments
  • Entry, review, and regular updating of all project information in the knowledge management system
  • Researching and answering project-related questions and communicating with Plan offices in partner countries
  • Supporting contract management, e.g., drafting and reviewing project contracts, as well as obtaining signatures and board approvals
  • Providing administrative support to programme specialists in drafting project proposals and translation of documents (French/English) 

Your profile:

  • Completed bachelor's degree in a relevant subject and/or corresponding vocational training
  • Basic knowledge and practical experience in development cooperation or humanitarian aid
  • Independent and structured working style, quick comprehension, and strong analytical skills
  • Experience with national and international donors and their guidelines desirable
  • Very good knowledge of English and French is required; knowledge of German is an advantage
  • Excellent MS Office skills
  • You are a team player, flexible, and solution-oriented
  • High degree of intercultural competence and good communication skills
