Applications are invited for a SNSF-funded postdoc position to work in the field of clinical cognitive neuroscience with a focus on the neural mechanisms of psychosis.

• We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral scientist for the project "A cortical circuit approach to schizophrenia", which is funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF)
• The project is performed in collaboration with the Friedrich-Miescher-Institute in Basel and aims to advance the understanding of the neuronal circuit mechanisms underlying schizophrenia, using a cross-species approach with experiments in humans and mice
• The subproject conducted at UPK will use cutting-edge fMRI and EEG methodology to investigate the effects of antipsychotic drugs on cortical circuit function in healthy human participants

• PhD or MD/PhD degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. cognitive neuroscience, psychology, medicine)
• Proficiency in computer programming and fMRI data analysis using state-of-the-art methods
• Demonstrated record of strong scientific writing
• Good analytical and organizational skills
• Proficiency in English at a scientific level

• You will have the opportunity to become acquainted with conventional and sophisticated neuroimaging methods, working in the field of computational psychiatry at the interface of clinical research, basic neuroscience and computational neuroscience
