We are seeking a hands-on, technically focused Managing Director in the role of Development Center Manager. This role is designed for a technology-driven executive who will lead and transform our Slovenian Development Center into a high-impact contributor to our gaming platform.

As Development Center Manager, you will be responsible for our Development Center in Slovenia, ensuring the execution of technological innovation, engineering excellence, and strong alignment with our headquarters. Your primary mission: build, scale, and continuously optimize a high-performing technical organization. 

Your Mission

To position our Slovenian entity as a high-impact Development Center within Greentube by executing innovation, scalable technology solutions, and engineering excellence. 

Technical & Engineering Leadership (Primary Focus) 

• Co-define and execute the technology and development strategy in alignment with the parent company's overall vision.
• Stay close to the code and technical implementation to ensure high-quality software/technical delivery.
• Implement unified development standards, processes, and governance structures.
• Execute architectural decisions for system scalability and technical sustainability.
• Foster a strong engineering culture focused on quality, innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement.
• Support and execute agile methodologies, DevOps structures, CI/CD pipelines, and performance metrics.
• Ensure effective collaboration between development teams and other business units across the group. 
  
  

Strategic & Operational Management

• Co-develop long- and short-term strategic plans for the Development Center.
• Execution of allocation of technical resources effectively to maximize output and efficiency.
• Monitor KPIs, delivery performance, and productivity metrics.
• Provide regular operational reports to the C-Level Board Member of the parent and local company.
• Identify innovation potential, new technologies, and development opportunities within the market. 
  
  

 Budget & Investment Responsibility 

• Support budget forecasts and resource planning.
• Support strategic investment in technology, infrastructure, and talent.
• Maintain cost efficiency while scaling engineering capabilities. 

 
People & Organizational Development 

• Execution and development of a high-performing engineering team.
• Support and co-preparation of Learning & Development plans for technical employees.
• Co-create clear career paths and performance structures
• Promote a performance-driven yet collaborative and motivating work environment. 

 
Governance & Compliance 

• Assume shared legal responsibility for the Slovenian entity.
• Ensure compliance with the development center standards within the group. 

 
Location & Travel 

• Main base in Ljubljana.
• Responsibility for both the Ljubljana and Maribor offices.
• Regular travel between both locations and to the headquarters in Vienna. 
   

• Strong technical background (e.g., Software Engineering, Computer Science, IT Architecture, or comparable).
• Proven leadership experience in managing software development teams or technology organizations.
• Experience building or scaling Development Centers or engineering hubs is highly desirable.
• Hands-on technical depth, understanding, and applying modern software architecture, cloud environments, DevOps, and agile methodologies.
• Strong strategic thinking combined with hands-on technical credibility.
