As Managing Director you will grow the organization to a prosperous business as a strong part of the group including both commercial issues and technical expertise. That contains the development and implementation of growth strategies in accordance with the strategy of the DEHN Group as well as local adaptions if necessary, reporting directly to the Business Unit Director Americas.

Key responsibilities

  • Day to day management of the Canadian subsidiary
  • Continuously monitor the Canadian market to identify new opportunities or threats, and to define focus segments and activities
  • Build, lead, manage, and develop the future DEHN Canada Team (roles, qualifications, recruiting, onboarding, development, coaching and motivating)
  • Commercial responsibility for the subsidiaries' results
  • Monitor the market and define potential segments
  • Drive sales, marketing, and business development efforts, focusing on complete solutions (not just individual components)
  • Develop and implement brand, pricing, and growth strategies that align with global goals while considering local market dynamics
  • Launch new products and services and execute marketing campaigns to support growth
  • Direct customer contact, acquisition and care (sales)
  • Ability to see the strategic challenges, to set long-term frameworks and at the same time to execute the companies' growth strategy 
  • Anticipation and understanding of trends and developments with regard to market shifts and changes of industry structures as well as strategies 
  • Foster close collaboration with DEHN's U.S. organization and our global headquarters in Germany
  • Implement efficient business processes and drive continuous improvement with an emphasis on digitalization

Position requirements

  • A minimum of five (5) years' experience in a senior sales leadership role within the electro technical sector, with a strong focus on sales/marketing/business development
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to properly plan and execute business plans  
  • Passion for technology and sales, with a track record of successfully developing strategic sales plans and generating revenue
  • Being a results-driven personality, seeking and delivering entrepreneurial success
  • A strategic mindset, with the ability to establish efficient structures and processes to drive business growth 
  • Solid analytical problem-solving skills, including familiarity with analyzing reports & deriving insights from data
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with and influence a variety of key stakeholders
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills, with the ability to develop and motivate team members 
  • High energy, integrity, and the ability to focus on key priorities while providing direction and leadership  
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written); proficiency in French is a plus
  • A global business mindset, with the willingness to travel as needed
