Your tasks

Support the transformation toward a resource-efficient and climate-neutral future through Life Cycle Assessment, Techno-Economic and Socio-Economic Assessment of emerging technologies, circular economy systems, and sustainable value chains.

As a Junior Researcher you will:

  • Conduct Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) using professional software (e.g., Python, openLCA).
  • Perform Techno-Economic and Socio-Economic Assessments of technologies or systems, including cost models, risk and scenario analysis.
  • Contribute to the scientific development of PhD projects in collaboration with universities and our team. 
  • Support data collection, modeling & interpretation of environmental & economic sustainability indicators.
  • Write scientific publications, project reports, and present your work at conferences and workshops.

Your interests

  • You are eager to pursue a PhD in the field of sustainability assessment or a related area.
  • You hold a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in sustainability / resource management / environmental science, or similar.
  • You are experienced or interested in LCA and techno-economic modeling.
  • You are diligent, well-organized, and capable of working independently in a research setting.
  • You are familiar with scientific writing; experience with  software such as openLCA and Python/R is a plus.
  • You are very fluent in written and spoken German and English (at least B2/C1 level)
  • You have a valid residence permit with a work permit in Austria
