HR Business Partner (m/f/d)

Your tasks:

To strengthen our HR team in the Netherlands, we are looking for a proactive and hands-on HR Business Partner, based in Koog aan de Zaan (NL). In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, ensuring legal compliance, HR initiatives, and contributing to a positive work culture. You enjoy working with different departments (such as sales, production, engineering, finance, etc.) and advising on the entire employee lifecycle (from onboarding to offboarding). You are a team player and work closely with the HR assistants who support daily HR operations for the Netherlands. At the same time, you will be part of the global HR team with colleagues in the US, Germany, and India, and you will report directly to the Chief HR Officer.

Location: Koog aan de Zaan 
Place in the organization: The position falls within the HR division and reports directly to the Chief HR Officer.
Team size: The HR team in Koog aan de Zaan consists of four people.
You will work with a team of three colleagues. The team consists of two HR assistants and the Chief HR Officer. 
International connections: Due to the global structure of our group, there is regular coordination with international branches, particularly in Emmerich (Germany). Project work often takes place in intercultural teams.

Your Tasks:
- Acting as the first point of contact for managers and employees in all HR-related matters.
- Providing expert advice on Dutch labor law, including contracts, terminations, terms of employment, and the Metalektro collective labor agreement
- Provide support and guidance on personnel issues, conflict resolution, disciplinary measures, and complaint procedures.
- Collaborate with management on engagement, retention, and team development.
- Manage end-to-end HR administration processes, including onboarding and offboarding.
- Contribute to the company's growth strategy with innovative and talent-focused recruitment solutions.
- Supporting payroll processes and maintaining contact with external payroll providers
- Ensuring compliance with Dutch labor legislation and internal company rules
- Implementing and improving HR policies, tools, and working methods tailored to local needs
- Leading or supporting HR projects and change initiatives

What do we expect from you?

Your Profile:
 - Bachelor's or master's degree in Human Resources, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience as an HR Business Partner or HR Advisor
- Thorough knowledge of Dutch labor law and HR best practices
- Experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrable ability to coach and influence managers and employees.
- Excellent social and communication skills in both Dutch and English (verbal and written).
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
