Head of the Finance, Processes, Systems and Compliance Unit (m/f/d)

Your tasks:

  • Head of the Finance, Processes, Systems and Compliance Unit of the International Cooperation Division with overarching responsibility for the financial management of the Division and the Controlling & Compliance teams
  • Goal-oriented, motivating and value-based leadership and development of employees
  • Financial control of the portfolio budget, based on key figures and donor requirements, as well as the divisional budget in cooperation with the divisional management
  • Management of implementation and optimization processes in the areas of IZ financial administration, project management and compliance
  • Financial and compliance reporting and dashboard creation
  • Management of project audits
  • Further development of internal systems and ensuring data quality
  • Interface management to the finance, controlling and compliance, as well as IT departments of Plan International Germany
  • Coordination with Global Hub (Federation headquarters), Regional Hub and Country Office Finance Teams
  • Ensuring a functioning knowledge management system for financial, system and process topics
  • Conception and implementation of strategic initiatives of the division
  • Management of the divisional tasks for the monthly and annual financial statements
  • Collaboration in the management team of the International Cooperation Division

Your profile:

  • Degree in Finance & Accounting, Controlling, Business Informatics or comparable knowledge
  • At least five years of professional experience in the areas of project and/or financial controlling, practical experience in international cooperation is an advantage
  • At least three years of disciplinary leadership experience of large and diverse teams
  • Experience in the field of process digitization and optimization
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, knowledge of German and other foreign languages is an advantage
  • Knowledge of IT-based project management systems (e.g. SAP, MS Dynamics 365) and proficient use of MS Office (especially Excel), experience in data management, as well as programming skills (e.g. SQL) is an advantage and goal and problem-solving oriented working attitude
