About the role
Due to our dynamic growth, we are looking for a Head of Commercial Asset Management (m/f/d) - Independent Power Producer (IPP). Together with the technical and financial IPP counterpart, the role will form the management Team of the IPP Portfolio.
This position will be ideally located at our headquarters in Munich, otherwise from one of our office locations.
About the role

What You Will Do
- You will lead a team of analysts and asset managers
- You will critically review and challenge commercial performance of IPP assets
- You will be responsible for monthly asset management reporting, forecasting and annual budget planning
- You will evaluate asset risks and opportunities
- You will manage financial performance tracking of portfolio against budget and other KPIs
- You will develop and critically evaluate portfolio KPIs
- You will contribute to enhancing best practice methods, valuation processes, knowledge management, internal tools & templates
- You will take over directorship of asset and other SPVs
- You will take ownership of discrete areas of business development work streams and support the wider team in achieving our goals
- You will manage and optimize Portfolio Insurance
- You will be responsible for ad-hoc analyses and research in various relevant markets
- You will participate in a pool of experts from different Business Units to interact and exchange about current and planned activities, best practices and cross functional analyses
- You will be in charge of the strategic management of all business and commercial aspect of the asset portfolio
Your Profile
- Masters degree in the technical, engineering or business area
- 5 years' professional experience of renewable energy assets operations and portfolio management
- Experience in operating a large portfolio of renewable energy assets across countries
- Extensive knowledge of renewable infrastructure financing
- Sound knowledge of all aspects of managing a global asset portfolio including transfer pricing, tax implications, regulatory implications etc.
- Strong commercial understanding (Controlling, Budgeting, OPEX structure, P&L analysis) of large asset portfolios on local level as well as consolidated level
- Extensive experience with operational business activities
- Sound knowledge of interpreting and assessing P&L statements, balance sheets; budgets;
- Vast experience in enterprise valuation, cash flow based financial models and/or investment appraisal
- Creative and pragmatic with an ability to find solutions to challenging problems
- Organised and able to manage multiple projects and stakeholders
- Entrepreneurial thinking and behavior as well as high degree of team spirit and ability to work independently
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Naturally curious, self-motivated and enthusiastic
- Flexible attitude and ability to be proactive and act on own initiative
- Excellent English & good German communication skills, both written (presentations, reports, documents) and spoken
- Excellent Microsoft Office knowledge, particularly Excel, Word and Power Point
