Group Treasury is responsible for efficiently managing pbb's financial resources including the management, control and optimization of the bank's liquidity, funding, capital, interest rate & fx risks. Furthermore, Treasury centralizes pbb's capital market activities and holistically covers investors and rating agencies. 
 
In this mission, we are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic individual with a strategic mindset and can-do mentality to join our Group Treasury team in Eschborn near Frankfurt as 

Head of Asset Liability Management (m/f/d)

In this role, you will shape Group Treasury's strategy delivering incremental revenues while owning various cross-functional Treasury and bank initiatives. The ideal candidate excels in Treasury strategy & execution and has an in-depth grasp of broader banking & Treasury topics contributing to the bank's long-term financial success. 

Your tasks

  • Functional as well as Team responsibility for pbb's Asset Liability Management department
  • Shape Treasury's strategy (including funding, liquidity, interest rate & fx)
  • Drive the agenda of the ALCO facilitating strategic financial resource management discussions with the executive board
  • Steer Treasury desks based on transparent Treasury p&l framework enabling effective monitoring, optimization and performance management
  • Enhance the funds transfer pricing framework (incl.  funding spread calibration) ensuring an effective & efficient employment of the bank's financial resources
  • Dedicated and holistic coverage of rating agencies and Treasury topics for regulators
  • Collaborate with internal partners across Treasury, Finance, Risk & Business to align Treasury strategies with broader objectives
  • Drive strategic initiatives for pbb and Group Treasury ensuring alignment with the bank's broader strategic goals and fostering collaboration across Treasury functions

How to convince us

  • Master or Bachelor degree in Finance, Economics or a related field; advanced qualifications (e.g. CFA, ACT) are a plus
  • 10 to 15+ years of experience in Treasury & Capital Markets with broad exposure across asset liability management (incl. banking book management), liquidity, funding and capital management, preferably within a banking or financial services environment
  • Strong leadership skills managing diverse teams across locations through organizational change
  • Strong strategic mindset with a track record of developing and implementing successful Treasury strategies balancing risk and return
  • In-depth Treasury markets, products and ideally trading experience
  • Excellent influencing skills with the ability to engage effectively with senior internal and external stakeholders (incl. regulators and rating agencies)
  • A proactive, hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is adapt at driving complex projects to completion
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills paired with excellent communication (English and German) and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex financial information to internal and external stakeholders 
  • Excellent IT skills, incl. proficiency in MS Office products, Treasury systems and preferably programming experience
