In its research, the Department of Business Communication focuses on phenomena relevant to business and the economy as they are explored in the fields of linguistics, communication, and culture. Reflecting this focus, the master's program in Business Communication is a key feature of the Department's teaching activities. The Department is also actively involved in delivering significant contributions to the university's bachelor's programs. The Department's course portfolio at all levels is largely taught in English.
This 20% professorship is intended to further sharpen the Department's research profile, enhance its interdisciplinary connections, and strengthen its methodological diversity at the interface of communication studies, linguistics, as well as business and economics.
Candidates' qualifications will be assessed in the context of their academic age on the basis of the following characteristics:
a) A solid academic qualification (e.g. PhD, habilitation or equivalent)
b) An excellent international reputation in an area that matches the Department's research profile, with a particular focus on language-sensitive approaches to organization and management
c) Excellence in research demonstrated by publications in top-tier outlets in the field

The successful candidate is expected to:
