Location: Germany - Hybrid / Remote

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager Europe (or Head of Finance) to lead our European finance operations and play a key role in shaping our financial strategy and processes.
In this leadership position, you will oversee accounting, consolidation, and reporting activities while driving continuous improvement and automation across our international finance function.

You will manage and develop the European finance team, collaborate with global stakeholders, and ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards.

Responsibilities

  • Full responsibility for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB (in-house) and IFRS (managed via external partner)
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the European finance team
  • Manage the ongoing partnership and performance of the outsourced Shared Service Center (SSC) in Asia
  • Oversee the audit process, collaborating closely with auditors and tax advisors to ensure full compliance with statutory and international tax requirements
  • Drive the implementation and integration of LucaNet for consolidation and reporting
  • Ensure accurate group consolidation across all international entities (Germany, UK, Australia, and the Philippines)
  • Partner cross-functionally with local and global teams to align financial processes and improve efficiency
  • Lead process optimization and automation initiatives within the finance function

Your profile

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA/ACCA or comparable qualification is a plus
  • Proven experience in group accounting and consolidation, ideally in an international environment
  • Strong month-end closing and financial reporting skills
  • Practical experience in audit management and preparation of statutory financial statements (HGB; IFRS exposure is an advantage)
  • Sound knowledge of SAP (FI, SD, MM)
  • Experience in finance process improvement, digitalization, and automation
  • Strong tax knowledge and experience working with tax advisors
  • Excellent communication skills in English and German (business fluent)
  • Willingness to travel to Hamburg approximately once per month (travel expenses covered)
