Microtrac is a pioneer and leading manufacturer of light scattering instruments for particle analysis. While Microtrac existed first as a business segment within a larger organization, the company Microtrac Inc. was ultimately founded in 1999 and has since been growing steadily. The instruments are used both for industrial applications and material research.

Microtrac Headquarters are based in the USA where Microtrac develops and manufactures all products in Montgomeryville and York, Pennsylvania. 

We are looking for a highly motivated new team member as:

Director (m/w/d) Global Sales 

Our new Director (m/w/d) Global Sales loves to...

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and objectives
  • Manage and motivate the sales teams 
  • Lead Marketing strategy development and content creation as well as implementation in cooperation with the corporate Marketing department
  • Lead and coordinate the 4 Applications Laboratories ensuring their effectiveness in customer sample testing, application development and content creation
  • Plan and organize sales conferences and other marketing events to promote products and services
  • Analyze market trends and competition to identify potential opportunities and threats.
  • Participate in the development of new products and services to meet customer needs
  • Ensure that all sales activities comply with company policies and procedures

Our new Director (m/w/d) Global Sales has

  • Scientific or technical degree that enables the candidate to understand the functional principles of scientific laboratory equipment. An MBA or a degree in Business Administration, Marketing would be an added advantage
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales management in a global organization selling consulting intensive non customised products (preferably analytical or laboratory instruments)
  • Global international experience and the ability to work with different cultures and communication styles
  • Native or excellent English (German, French or Japanese are a plus)
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and objectives
  • Strong leadership and management experience,
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A cooperative solution-oriented negotiation and conflict resolution style
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and other sales management tools (CRM)
  • Ability to travel internationally
