Senior Data Warehouse Engineer (m/f/d)
Our Business Intelligence & Analytics department is a close-knit and vibrant community, consisting of 10 talented members dedicated to pushing the boundaries of data excellence. ETL Process Ownership- Lead requirement engineering, design, and implementation of robust ETL processes for seamless data integration within our data warehouse.
- Utilize your expertise in MS-SQL Server, SSIS, C#, Azure DevOps, and Git to craft efficient and scalable solutions.
Data Warehouse Optimization
- Take charge of optimizing and evolving our data warehouse, focusing on enhancing architecture and data organization for improved performance and scalability.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies.
Data Modeling and Implementation
- Own the responsibility for data origin analysis, developing logical data models, and translating them into physical designs.
- Implement and enforce corresponding business rules to ensure data integrity and consistency.
Operational Excellence
- Ensure the seamless operation of the data warehouse, monitoring performance and addressing any issues promptly.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices in data warehouse management.
Your qualifications:
Educational & Professional Experience:- A successfully completed degree in (business) informatics, or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of proven professional experience in the field of data warehouse engineering
Database and SQL Expertise:
- Sound knowledge of relational databases, with a preference for expertise in Microsoft technologies such as SQL Server
- SQL is your "mother tongue" showcasing a deep understanding and proficiency in crafting complex queries and optimizing database performance
Software Development Skills
- Proficient software development skills within the Microsoft stack, including but not limited to C#, .NET, and SSIS
Problem-Solving & Communication Skills:
- High level of goal orientation, coupled with a willingness to perform and a strong ability for abstract and analytical problem-solving.
- Strong, empathetic communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
Language Proficiency:
- Very good written and spoken English skills
