Senior Data Warehouse Engineer (m/f/d)

Our Business Intelligence & Analytics department is a close-knit and vibrant community, consisting of 10 talented members dedicated to pushing the boundaries of data excellence. Your key responsibilities:

ETL Process Ownership
  • Lead requirement engineering, design, and implementation of robust ETL processes for seamless data integration within our data warehouse.
  • Utilize your expertise in MS-SQL Server, SSIS, C#, Azure DevOps, and Git to craft efficient and scalable solutions.

Data Warehouse Optimization
  • Take charge of optimizing and evolving our data warehouse, focusing on enhancing architecture and data organization for improved performance and scalability.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies.

Data Modeling and Implementation
  • Own the responsibility for data origin analysis, developing logical data models, and translating them into physical designs.
  • Implement and enforce corresponding business rules to ensure data integrity and consistency.

Operational Excellence
  • Ensure the seamless operation of the data warehouse, monitoring performance and addressing any issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices in data warehouse management.

Your qualifications:

Educational & Professional Experience:
  • A successfully completed degree in (business) informatics, or a comparable qualification.
  • Several years of proven professional experience in the field of data warehouse engineering

Database and SQL Expertise:
  • Sound knowledge of relational databases, with a preference for expertise in Microsoft technologies such as SQL Server
  • SQL is your "mother tongue" showcasing a deep understanding and proficiency in crafting complex queries and optimizing database performance

Software Development Skills
  • Proficient software development skills within the Microsoft stack, including but not limited to C#, .NET, and SSIS

Problem-Solving & Communication Skills:
  • High level of goal orientation, coupled with a willingness to perform and a strong ability for abstract and analytical problem-solving.
  • Strong, empathetic communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.

Language Proficiency:
  • Very good written and spoken English skills
