As an Automation Engineer / Software Engineer, you are responsible for the control software for our machines. Together with your colleagues, you ensure that the control software and operating manuals are written, and that cabinet and installation specifications are drawn up. During installation at the customer's site, we are present to guide and/or carry out the commissioning and validation of the project. You work closely with the engineering disciplines and the other automation teams within the Probat Group. You report to the Team Leader of the Electrical Engineering department in Germany.

Your responsibilities include:

• Receiving information from the Engineering department so that hardware and software can be developed.
• Writing control software and operating manuals.
• Planning engineering activities within a project and monitoring the hours budget.
• Being responsible for the automation part of the project, according to the specifications of the order or quotation.

Your profile:

• A higher professional education (HBO) degree in Electrical Engineering (HTS Elektro).
• At least 5 years of relevant international work experience in a comparable position.
• Experience with Siemens TIA Portal for developing and commissioning Siemens PLC, HMI, and SCADA applications.
• Experience with Rockwell AB Studio 5000 and FactoryTalk for developing and commissioning applications with CompactLogix PLCs and PanelView HMIs is an advantage.
• Experience in standardizing, managing, and maintaining PLC software.
• Excellent command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written (German is an advantage).
• Willingness to work abroad (approximately 25%).
