Institutional Sales & Relationship Management (m/f)

To strengthen our Investor Relations team in the Frankfurt head office, we are looking for a Senior Relationship Manager. The 3-person relationship team is responsible for the distribution of all funds advised by Finance in Motion, coordination with distribution partners and works closely with related departments (e.g. Investment Management). The target market includes institutional and semi-institutional investors (e.g. Family Offices, UHNWIs) with interest in impact investing worldwide with a current focus on Western Europe.

Key responsibilities:

  • Actively contribute to the development of the investor base by building and sustaining high quality relationships with institutional and semi-institutional investors throughout Europe and beyond
  • Researching and analyzing the needs and demand of potential clients and understanding the market landscape
  • Lead client acquisition, contacting and pitching to investors, managing investor due diligence and KYC process, negotiating with clients, coordinating signing of deals and after-sales
  • Co-ownership of significant revenue targets and responsibility for managing an individual sales pipeline from opportunity through to execution under the guidance of the Director Investor Relations
  • Support external marketing of the funds, including for example organization of events and other activities
  • Contribute to the operational efficiency and good practices of the department, including establishing and refining policies and procedures
  • Promoting the Finance in Motion brand and impact investing by representing the company at conferences, workshops and other relevant events

What we expect:

  • University degree in economics, finance, business administration, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably as a Relationship Manager in asset management, private banking or development finance
  • A proven track record in developing, managing and growing sales with institutional and semi-institutional investors, preferably in the field of sustainable or impact investing
  • Strong client servicing and relationship management skills, coupled with an open and engaging communication style and great interpersonal skills
  • High level of business acumen in selecting the right clients, channels, products and marketing methodologies
  • Deep technical expertise to enable informed and insightful discussions with investors
  • Regulatory expertise/knowledge of investor related regulatory requirements in Germany and Luxembourg
  • Good organizational skills, proven team-orientation, high level of self-motivation, results-driven approach and tenacity, hands-on mentality
  • Excellent written and spoken English, ideally proficiency in German
  • Commitment to impact investing and responsible finance
  • Proficiency in MS Office
