Finance Lawyer (m/f)

The Legal Department is closely involved in (complex) finance transactions with various counterparties in coordination with the internal investment/risk management departments and external law firms. This includes transactions such as lending, corporate finance, project finance or equity. The Legal Department also deals with fund specific aspects such as investor documentation or regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities:

  • Structure, negotiate and implement finance transactions and negotiate investor documentations
  • Independently conduct negotiations on a variety of legal issues with international counterparties
  • (Co-)Lead transactions until disbursement/payment
  • Provide legal guidance regarding appropriate risk mitigation measures, e.g. in restructuring scenarios
  • Manage other legal issues, taking into account international and local law considerations
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders

What we expect:

  • Fully qualified attorney (2nd state exam) or similar foreign qualification
  • Fluency in spoken and written English; proficiency in French, Spanish or in any other language of our target regions would be a strong asset
  • Experience in the relevant area of work of ideally 2-3 years; applications from graduates are welcome if relevant areas of law were part of their legal education
  • High degree of independence, proactivity and strong negotiation skills in an international context
  • Strong sense of responsibility and enthusiasm
  • Interest in development finance
